ABOUT
Manuela Mazzanti (Rome, 1975) qualified as a fashion designer in 1999 at "Istituto Marangoni" in Milan. She began working with different fashion studios and companies. She won the Lombardy region’s Rosa Camuna honor prize in collaboration with MittelModa for creativity and commitment in Fashion. Her encounter and subsequent work with the Entertainment company Warner Bros. was decisive in pointing her in the direction of a multidisciplinary approach to design, exploring licensing projects in various sectors. This cross-cutting creative journey enabled her to make connections in fashion, furniture, graphic design, textiles and interior design.
She works with licensors, in Entertainment and for Industrial brands, as a strategic design consultant, and she collaborates with licensees to develop trademark products. She has been involved in corporate brand innovation strategies, working on co-branding and co-marketing design projects. She is behind the creative management and product development of fashion and lifestyle collections in the sportswear and motorbike sector, and has collaborated with MotoGP teams to design the team Paddock apparel. She works as a consultant for companies in the interior design sector, designing furniture and accessories, and has a specific interest in children’s design. She defines herself as a ‘creative mediator’, a tireless observer and an enthusiastic interpreter of the language of interaction. Her mission? Maintaining a strong global vision, recognising connections and translating them into new meaning for the market. “What makes an innovative solution authentic is contamination, between knowledge and skills, past and present, technique and art, and business and culture”. |
